LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (LAX)

TEMPORARY NORTH COMPLEX RUNWAY 24L/6R CLOSURES

 

LAX will temporarily close the north inboard runway (24L/6R) on the following specific dates and times for maintenance and other activities.

  • November 12, 2020, Thursday, 12:30 AM – 6:30 AM
  • November 17 & 18, 2020, Tuesday & Wednesday, 7 AM - 1:30 PM
  • November 19 & 20, 2020, Thursday & Friday, 12:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Persons living near LAX may notice a change in aircraft flight activity and noise during these temporary runway closures. When the north inboard runway (24L/6R) temporarily closes during these periods, more aircraft are expected to use the north outboard runway (24R/6L) for departure and arrival operations. In addition, some aircraft operations may shift from the north to the south runway complex.

 

The FAA plans to continue conducting Over-Ocean Operations at LAX during these closures between 12 AM and 6:30 AM if weather and other operational conditions permit. To learn more about LAX air traffic flow, click here to see an informative video.
